We are building up a picture of how communication occurs in multilingual settings across the EU and beyond. We aim to help institutions (councils, schools, hospitals) and local and national economies make better productive use of diversity as an economic resource and to strengthen social cohesion by fostering better communication and mutual understanding. We also want to understand better how the cultural richness of these new cities can strengthen the \u201cdiverse unity \u201cof the 21st century.<\/p>\n<h2>\n<a id=\"2\" name=\"2\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eliamep.gr\/en\/announcements\/job-positions\/%CE%B5%CF%81%CE%B5%CF%85%CE%BD%CE%B7%CF%84%CE%AE%CF%82%CF%84%CF%81%CE%B9%CE%B1-%CF%83%CF%84%CE%BF-%CE%B5%CE%BB%CE%B9%CE%B1%CE%BC%CE%B5%CF%80-%CE%B3%CE%B9%CE%B1-%CF%84%CE%BF-%CF%80%CF%81%CF%8C%CE%B3\/\">RESEARCHER AT ELIAMEP FOR THE PROGRAMME ON MIGRATION <\/a><\/h2>\n<p>ELIAMEP is looking for a Researcher to take a leading role in the ELIAMEP migration research team in cooperation with Prof. Anna Triandafyllidou, currently head of this team.<br \/>\nThe appointment is full time or almost full time and requires a regular presence at the office.<br \/>\nThe successful candidate should be prepared to start on 1 October 2012. Teaterstykket med samme navn er skrevet av den svenske aktivisten, debatt\u00f8ren og politikeren America Vera-Zavalas. Den moderne historien er skrevet som en monolog, og er en r\u00e5 og modig kommentar til dagens multikulturelle samfunn.<br \/>\nDen Nasjonale Scene (Lille Scene), Bergen i mai og juni.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"4\" name=\"4\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mondialiantirazzisti.org\/new\/?lang=en\">INTERNATIONAL ANTI-RACIST FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Knowledge, comparison and exchange are at the heart of all succesful\u00a0initiatives and projects designed to fight the problems of racism and discrimination. Meeting people and getting to know them better are the starting points for overcoming fear and prejudice, which in the majority of cases give rise to social exclusion.<br \/>\nMeeting people is the cornerstone of the Antiracist World Cup. A coming together of all types of diversity: culture, colour, religion, social groups (ultras), sexual orientation, gender, age, etc. The Antiracist World Cup began life as a simple demonstration and with time has been transformed into a genuine laboratory of ideas.
