To what extent do the characters hold on to their original culture, and to what extent do they accept the new culture and the host community\u2019s values? Through a detailed analysis of these films, Klapscik argues that filmic analysis can help us to shed light on acculturation processes in diaspora communities.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar takes place in the Seminar Room at the Department of Sociology, Rosenberggata 39, on the 15th of February from 14.15 to 16.00.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/imer.w.uib.no\/files\/2017\/02\/62_5665a1ead12a4.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1252 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/imer.w.uib.no\/files\/2017\/02\/62_5665a1ead12a4-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"62_5665a1ead12a4\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaj.tul.cz\/staff\/userprofile\/klapcsik\">S\u00e1ndor Klapcsik<\/a> is assistant professor at the Technical University of Liberect.
